Norway, post office in Orangeburg Co., SC. Established as Stella, and changed name 1892 to Norway with Zachariah H. Kinard taking over as postmaster. It is still in operation. Svein Andreassen writes about Norway, SC.



Walhalla, SC
Walhalla is a mountain city in Oconee Co., SC. The name Walhalla comes from Valhalla, the hall of slain warriors in Norse mythology. The Walhalla, SC, post office opened 1853 and it is still in operation. The population was 3,801 at the 2000 census.
